About
From the moment I first discovered photography at art college in the early 1980s, I was hooked. It's still my passion today and although the technology has changed radically, the principles behind creating a great image remain the same.
Since those art college days, I've spent my whole career working in the creative industry. These years of experience have allowed me to develop a great feel for light and lighting technique. They've also given me time to develop considerable expertise in the digital photography process, allowing me the opportunity to squeeze every last drop of quality from an image.
I'm extremely versatile in what I shoot. I work on a wide range of still life – from jewellery to food – where my eye for detail, lighting, and composition help me create elegant and beautiful images. I also love to photograph people, where I work quickly and without fuss, engaging with my subjects and putting them at ease. No one ever gets bored in front of my camera!
My studio is a relaxed and easy place to spend the day. The people I work alongside – assistants, stylists, and set builders – are similarly relaxed and easy-going. You'd like them.
Over the years I've worked across the world – throughout the UK and Europe, and from Boston and Kuala Lumpur – shooting for a fantastic range of clients. This variety has helped me to remain just as passionate about photography today as when I started out. Every day is different and every day is a new challenge.
Bring it on.
